Did you spot the murderer before the reveal? Which characters did you suspect? What clues did you see as you were reading? Were there clues that you missed?
Were there characters that you identified with? If so, who were they? Why do you think you connected with those particular characters?
There is quite a bit of theater and history throughout the book. Did you find the information accessible or off-putting? Did it add to the book's realism or distract from the story?
There are references to Othello throughout. What parallels do you see between this story and Othello? Do you think Othello is still relevant?
Immie discovers some of her own privilege through the course of the story. How did you feel about her realizations?
Privilege takes many forms. What privilege have you had in your own life? In addition to race, other areas to consider include gender, sexuality, ability, size, class, age, religion, military service, citizenship, chronotype (morning person versus evening person), personality (extrovert versus introvert), and even handedness (right-handed versus left-handed).
